Ihana Dhillon Takes an Eco-friendly Turn in Celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi
It is important to bear in mind that for pleasing the Gods we must also be mindful of our earth. And the switch isn't that hard to make so why shouldn't we be caring about nature as well."
The holy festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated every year with great fervour in the country with thousands of devotees thronging temples and ‘Ganeshotsav pandals’ to offer their prayers. While the the festival only spreads glad tidings and happiness, some of the celebrations tend to leave behind a little impact on the environment. With an increasing number of people realizing this problem, many are resorting to environmental friendlier ways of bringing in this season of joy. Bollywood actress Ihana Dhillon opens up about her plans of spending this year's Ganesh Chaturthi in a more sustainable way.
"Since a few years the trend of eco-friendly ganesha idols has taken over and even in our household we follow the same. Instead of the regular POP idols, switching to more earth friendly ones like those made of clay and other sustainable materials feels really good. We also get decorations of paper instead of plastic and use colors that aren't harmful for the skin nor the earth. It is important to bear in mind that for pleasing the Gods we must also be mindful of our earth. And the switch isn't that hard to make so why shouldn't we be caring about nature as well."
Ihana Dhillon was also seen starring in Salman Khan Starrer Radhe.
