Rohit Bakshi Reflects on His Role in Anupamaa

Renowned actor Rohit Bakshi, known for his roles in popular television series such as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kahiin To Hoga, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and Chittod Ki Rani Padmini Ka Johur, recently shared his thoughts on his latest role as Ankush in the highly acclaimed show Anupamaa. Rohit expressed his gratitude for being part of such a remarkable project, describing it as a significant and rewarding experience. "Being a part of Anupamaa, a show that enjoys widespread viewership, was indeed a great experience. I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to contribute to it. The role was exceptional, and all the characters in the show are very endearing, resonating deeply with the audience," Rohit said. 

He commended the supportive and inclusive environment created by producer Mr Rajan Shahi. "Working with Mr Rajan Shahi was a delightful experience. Despite my long career in the industry, this was my first chance to work with Rajan Sir. By chance, I was in the office for an audition when Rajan Sir happened to be there. He gave me some suggestions for my audition, which I incorporated.Amazingly, the role was finalized by the end of the day." 

Rohit reflected on the serendipitous nature of his casting, noting, "When things are meant to happen, they can happen very quickly. It's not uncommon for actors to wait for days or even longer for a role. Working with Mr Rajan Shahi's team was a pleasure. I would definitely welcome the opportunity to work with his team again."  

Discussing the professional benefits of his role in Anupamaa, Rohit highlighted the visibility it provided. "An actor needs visibility, and Anupamaa offered that. It significantly enhances one's profile, especially since I had worked on numerous shows on different channels that did not garner much attention. Mentioning Anupamaa in conversations often elicits a positive response, which is invaluable for an actor's career." Rohit appreciated the renewed popularity the show brought him. “Although I remained active in the industry and took on various roles, they didn't always receive widespread recognition. Anupamaa revived my popularity in a significant way, bringing my work back into the spotlight. I am hopeful that this renewed recognition will benefit my future endeavors." 

Regarding his character, Rohit described it as a relatable and well-intentioned individual. "Although my character made some questionable decisions, such as pursuing property he ultimately realized that family is paramount. He acknowledged his mistakes and stood up against wrongdoings. The character had multiple dimensions, which made it an enjoyable role to portray. Overall, it was a very positive experience."
