Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup hosts Rotary Fun Fiesta, a charity event filled with entertainment and awareness

The Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup held its first ever "Rotary Fun Fiesta" in Bhandup, Mumbai from December 15th to 17th, 2023. This exciting event wasn't just about entertainment, but also about connecting families, raising awareness for their charitable causes, and generating funds to support their initiatives.

The Rotary Club of Mumbai Bhandup has a long history of working for the underprivileged in their community. Some of their impactful projects include:

• Cataract Free Bhandup: Over 350 free cataract surgeries performed.

• Paediatric Heart Surgeries: Supporting children in need of crucial heart surgeries.

• Tailoring Training with Job Guarantee: Empowering women with skills and employment opportunities.

• Pink Auto Project: Training and providing auto rickshaws to women with government subsidies and loans.

• Education Loan: Assisting students with accessing education through financial aid.

The Rotary Fun Fiesta offered a unique platform for enjoyment and purpose. Attendees were treated to a variety of entertaining programs, including:

• Comedy Night: Stand-up performances by talented comedians.

• Musical Evening: Enchanting musical performances by gifted artists.

But the highlight of the event was undoubtedly the creation of the "33 ft Tallest Cardboard Christmas Tree" on December 15th. This remarkable feat surpassed the previous world record of 20 ft and earned entries in the World Wide Records, India Book of Records, and Asia Book of Records. This achievement serves as a symbol of pride for Mumbaikars and the entire Bhandup community.
